Senior AI & Automation Engineer

Job Overview

GI Outsourcing is building Finzo, an AI-enabled finance operations platform for UK businesses. This senior hands-on builder and technical lead will design and deliver AI, automation and workflow solutions that reduce manual effort across finance operations and power the platform. Reports to Head of Technology / Group CEO.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the AI and automation roadmap, prioritizing high-volume, control-sensitive finance processes

• Translate business and control needs into scalable architectures and delivery plans

• Build production-ready AI applications, copilots, assistants, agents and retrieval systems (LLM, ML, NLP)

• Establish secure engineering standards: testing, deployment, monitoring, change control

• Design end-to-end workflow automation for reconciliations, TB handoffs, tax workflows, approvals and audit trails

• Advance the Finzo platform with scalable apps, integrations and reusable automation components

• Lead the automation portfolio and mentor junior developers; build organization-wide AI capability

Requirements

• 5–10+ years in software engineering, AI, automation, digital transformation or finance technology

• Proven delivery of production-grade solutions

• Strong expertise in workflow design, data validation, system integration, APIs, exception handling and operational controls

• Python, SQL, REST APIs, Git, DevOps practices

• Microsoft Power Automate, Power Apps, Power Platform Governance

• Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI

• OCR/IDP, AI agents, workflow orchestration and analytics
